What is Ad Budget?

Ad budget planning starts with your target Cost Per Acquisition (CPA) — how much you're willing to pay for each customer. Multiply that by your desired number of conversions and you have your total budget. The challenge is that CPAs fluctuate, especially in the learning phase. Most platforms recommend budgeting for at least 50 conversions per ad set per week to exit the learning phase and unlock algorithm optimization.

Why It Matters

Underfunding ad campaigns is one of the most common mistakes in paid media. If you set a $10/day budget on a campaign with a $45 CPA target, you'll never exit the learning phase — the algorithm can't optimize because it doesn't have enough data.
